PULWAMA: India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken control of two residential properties in Pulwama district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The move has triggered strong reactions from locals.
According to Beyond Time News, officials seized a two-storey house and a single-storey house in the Lethpora area. Both properties belong to Fayaz Ahmad Magray.
The NIA linked Magray to the 2017 attack on a CRPF training centre in Lethpora. Officials said the action forms part of an ongoing investigation.
Locals reject the allegations
Residents strongly disagreed with the agency’s claim. They said the authorities have wrongly targeted Magray. They also questioned the evidence behind the seizure.
Tensions rose in the area after the action. Many locals expressed concern over the continued use of such measures during investigations.
