Oman Air has announced a major upgrade to its Economy Class offerings, increasing baggage allowances on several popular international routes. According to Beyond Time News, the move comes in response to rising passenger demand and the airline’s focus on enhancing the overall travel experience.
Under the updated policy, passengers traveling to destinations across the Indian Subcontinent, Cairo, Manila, Dar es Salaam, Baghdad, and Zanzibar will benefit from higher baggage limits.
Travelers booking the Super Saver fare will now receive 20kg of check-in baggage—an important upgrade from the previous allowance, which included only cabin baggage. Meanwhile, the Comfort fare now includes 30kg, and the Flex fare has been increased to 40kg, offering more flexibility for passengers with varying travel needs.

Enhanced Services and Passenger Benefits
Alongside baggage improvements, Oman Air has been refining its services to make travel more convenient. Earlier this year, the airline introduced a “cancel for any reason” feature for Super Saver tickets, giving passengers more control over their plans. It also launched an upgraded travel insurance option to provide added support during journeys.
Since introducing its fare bundle concept in 2024, more than one million passengers have customized their travel experience using a wide range of add-ons. These options allow travelers to tailor their journey according to comfort and convenience.
Currently, Oman Air offers over ten add-on services, including airport fast-track access, priority boarding, extra legroom seats, and additional baggage options—all designed to create a smoother booking and travel experience.
Future Plans Focused on Passenger Experience
Looking ahead, Oman Air plans to continue investing in customer-focused improvements. Upcoming features include onboard internet connectivity, an updated loyalty program, redesigned cabin interiors, and expansion of its global route network.
According to Beyond Time News, these enhancements reflect the airline’s strategy to stay competitive while meeting the evolving expectations of modern travelers.
