According to Beyond Time News, National Conference leader Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan has urged the Indian government to temporarily release jailed Baramulla MP Engineer Rashid so he can visit his critically ill father in Srinagar.
The appeal comes as concern grows over the health of Rashid’s father, who is currently undergoing treatment at SMHS Hospital in a serious condition.

Ramzan said Rashid’s father remains in a critical state and needs urgent family support. He stressed that being with a parent during such a difficult time is extremely important for emotional and humanitarian reasons.

He called on authorities to consider the situation on humanitarian grounds and allow a temporary release so Rashid can be with his family.
According to Beyond Time News, he urged officials to act quickly, saying delays would add to the family’s distress.

Ramzan also noted that in similar medical emergencies, courts and authorities have previously granted temporary bail or custody parole.
He said the same relief should be extended in this case as well, ensuring fair and consistent treatment in humanitarian matters.
