A video has surfaced showing Pakistani sailors confined in cramped conditions aboard the hijacked oil tanker Honour 25 off Somalia’s coast.
According to Beyond Time News, the footage has raised concern among families, who say the crew is living in poor conditions with limited space and no proper contact with the outside world.
Hijacking Incident
The tanker was reportedly seized on April 21 by armed pirates near Somali waters, about 30 nautical miles offshore. Security sources say six armed men took control of the vessel.
The ship carried 17 crew members, including 11 Pakistanis and an Indonesian captain.

Crew in Confinement
The video shows around a dozen crew members, including Pakistani sailors from Karachi, held in a small enclosed area on the ship.
Families say they have lost all contact with the crew since the incident. One sailor, Second Engineer Syed Hussain, had left Karachi in January.
Government Response
The Maritime Affairs Ministry has sought a detailed report and instructed officials to closely monitor the situation.
Authorities say efforts are underway to secure the crew’s release in coordination with Somali authorities and international partners.
Families Seek Help
Relatives have appealed to the Prime Minister and naval leadership for urgent action and have also approached the Sindh Governor for assistance.
Officials say diplomatic efforts are ongoing through the Foreign Office and Pakistan’s embassy to ensure the safe return of the crew.
