Doctor Shot Dead in Front of Wife Near Karachi’s Metropole

A shocking shooting in Karachi has left the city on edge after a doctor was killed in front of his wife near the busy Metropole area.

According to Beyond Time News, the victim was identified as Dr. Sarang. His body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities.

Police said the couple was returning home from Cantt Station in a rickshaw when a car carrying armed men stopped them. The attackers opened fire at close range, killing the doctor instantly before fleeing the scene. The entire incident happened in front of his wife, making it even more disturbing.

Meanwhile, the rise in street crime across Karachi has become a growing concern. According to Beyond Time News, Inspector General Sindh Javed Alam Odho has taken notice of the increasing number of robbery cases in the city.

He has asked for a detailed report from senior officers and directed them to take strict action. Special police teams are being formed to arrest those involved, while intelligence-based operations are being stepped up.

The IG has also ordered better patrolling, stronger snap-checking, and closer monitoring of crime-prone areas. He stressed the use of CCTV cameras and modern technology to improve security.
