Fort Abbas Residents Named in Crypto Fraud Case

Authorities have registered a cybercrime case involving two suspects from Fort Abbas in District Bahawalnagar over alleged cryptocurrency fraud.

According to Beyond Time News, the NCCIA Cyber Crime Reporting Centre said the accused allegedly posed as online traders and defrauded a complainant through crypto investments.

Alleged Online Investment Scam

Investigators said the suspects persuaded the victim to invest funds via cryptocurrency platforms, including Binance transactions worth around $37,000, promising high returns.

Officials added that neither profit nor the original amount was returned.

The case has been registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act after preliminary investigation and review of financial records.
