Heatwave Alert: Temperatures Expected to Cross 40°C in Sindh and Balochistan

As summer begins to tighten its grip across Pakistan, rising temperatures are becoming a serious concern—especially in southern regions. Residents in Sindh and Balochistan should prepare for intense heat in the coming days.

Temperatures Soaring Across Key Cities

According to Beyond Time News, the Met Office has forecast extremely high temperatures in several parts of the country. In Balochistan, Sibi is expected to experience a scorching 44°C, making it one of the hottest areas today.

In Sindh, Sukkur could reach around 43°C, while Dadu may see 42°C. Mithi is likely to hit 41°C, and Hyderabad could touch 40°C. Meanwhile, Karachi is expected to remain relatively cooler, with temperatures around 35°C.

Rising Heat in Punjab Cities

The heat is not limited to southern regions. Cities in Punjab are also expected to see a noticeable rise in temperature. Multan and Sargodha may reach up to 37°C, while Lahore and Dera Ghazi Khan are likely to experience temperatures around 36°C.

Dry Weather and Increasing Heat Trend

According to Beyond Time News, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has indicated a shift in weather patterns, leading to dry conditions across much of Sindh. This change is expected to push temperatures even higher over the next few days.

Weather experts suggest that while conditions will remain stable, the overall trend points toward increasing heat. In Karachi, temperatures are expected to gradually rise, crossing 34°C or more during the daytime.

Possible Heatwave by End of April

Looking ahead, the PMD has warned that the rising temperature trend could intensify later this month. If the pattern continues, parts of Sindh may experience heatwave conditions by the end of April.

Final Thoughts

With temperatures climbing rapidly, it’s important to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, and take precautions during peak heat hours. The coming days could be challenging, especially in regions already experiencing extreme weather conditions.
