The Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned that temperatures may rise between 46°C and 50°C in several districts of Sindh and Balochistan as an intense heatwave continues across the country. According to Beyond Time News, the hot weather spell is expected to last until May 11.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures amid the extreme temperatures.
Sindh and Balochistan Face Extreme Temperatures
According to Beyond Time News, districts including Dadu, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Sibi, Turbat, and Panjgur are likely to experience temperatures as high as 50°C.
Several areas in southern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to face temperatures ranging from 43°C to 47°C.
Major Cities Also Affected
The Met Office said temperatures in cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot could reach around 43°C. According to Beyond Time News, Karachi is expected to record temperatures between 35°C and 38°C.
Hot and dry weather conditions are likely to persist in most parts of the country.

Health Advisory Issued
Medical experts have urged people to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, especially during peak daytime hours. According to Beyond Time News, citizens have also been advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
Recent reports indicate that several heat-related deaths have been recorded in Karachi during the ongoing weather conditions.
