Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to face severe weather conditions as a strong westerly system moves across the province.
According to Beyond Time News, the system will remain active from Saturday evening to Monday, bringing dust storms, thunderstorms, and periods of heavy rainfall.
Flood and Landslide Risks
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has warned of heavy rain and possible hailstorms in upper districts. Urban flooding is likely in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, and surrounding plains, particularly in low-lying areas.
There is also a risk of landslides in mountainous regions and overflow in local drainage channels.

Safety Measures and Advisory
Strong winds may damage weak structures, electricity poles, and solar panels. Farmers have been advised to take preventive steps to protect crops.
District authorities have been directed to remain on alert, ensure availability of emergency resources, and keep rescue teams ready. Instructions have also been issued to maintain traffic flow on major highways and improve drainage systems to reduce flooding risks.

Rain, thunderstorms, and hail are expected in multiple areas, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat, Bannu, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan.
Residents are advised to follow official updates and limit unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions.
