MAKKAH: Preparations for pilgrims staying in Mina, the world’s largest temporary tent city, have reached their final stage ahead of Hajj 2026. Authorities have introduced upgraded facilities, digital mapping, and improved living arrangements, according to Beyond Time News.
Makkah Coordinator Zulfiqar Khan briefed media representatives during a visit to model camps. He said that officials have completed arrangements for accommodation, food, and essential services. These facilities follow international standards to ensure maximum comfort for pilgrims.
Focus on Comfort and Better Management
Authorities aim to help pilgrims perform Hajj rituals with ease and peace of mind. Therefore, they have introduced several new improvements this year.
For example, they have installed sofa-cum-beds in tents for better comfort. In addition, each tent displays clear lists of bed numbers and pilgrim names. This system helps pilgrims find their assigned space without confusion.
Digital System Introduced Through Pak Hajj App
Officials have also connected all camp data with the “Pak Hajj App.” As a result, pilgrims can now locate their tents and beds through their mobile phones.
This digital mapping system reduces confusion and improves organization. Moreover, it helps manage crowd flow more efficiently during peak Hajj days.

Better Cooling and Living Arrangements
Because of extreme heat, authorities have upgraded ventilation and cooling systems. They have installed high-efficiency air conditioners for every block of 32 beds. Teams also check the systems daily to ensure proper performance.
Furthermore, tents now include hangers and improved luggage storage. These changes reduce overcrowding and create more space for pilgrims.
Medical Facilities Available 24/7
Authorities have set up dedicated medical clinics inside the Mina camp area. These clinics operate around the clock.
Doctors and paramedics remain on duty at all times. In addition, each facility includes oxygen cylinders and first-aid supplies to handle emergencies quickly.
Officials said that strong coordination between the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and Pakistani authorities helped complete these arrangements on time.
Strong Commitment to Pilgrim Welfare
Zulfiqar Khan said that the Ministry of Religious Affairs team is fully present on the ground. He assured that pilgrims should focus only on their worship because authorities have handled all other arrangements.
Similarly, Deputy Coordinator Operations Makkah Sadaqat Ali Awan stressed that the mission focuses on comfort and peace for pilgrims. He said the goal goes beyond shelter and aims to provide a stress-free environment.
He also confirmed that Pak Hajj Mission staff will remain available 24/7. They will quickly resolve any issues related to facilities. He further emphasized that serving pilgrims is a sacred responsibility and no negligence will be accepted.
Conclusion
Overall, the Mina preparations for Hajj 2026 show major improvements in comfort, safety, and digital management. With modern facilities, better healthcare, and smart technology, authorities aim to ensure a smooth and peaceful pilgrimage experience for all pilgrims.
