Srinagar : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that the brutal actions of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Indian government and its Lieutenant Governor regime in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) cannot weaken the unwavering resolve and pro-freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri people.
According to Beyond The Time News, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that Hurriyat is the manifestation of the political, social, and cultural will of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which has been acknowledged through United Nations resolutions guaranteeing the right to self-determination via a plebiscite.
He said the Indian BJP regime is brutally using draconian laws and arresting youth and attaching properties, including lands and houses, of activists in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Condemning the illegal and violent actions by dreaded Indian agencies such as the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the State Investigation Agency (SIA), the APHC said the people of Kashmir are well aware of the usurpers of their political rights.
It called upon human rights organisations to take serious note of the illegal prolonged detention of all leaders and activists in jails and under custody.
The statement said Kashmiri leadership, activists, journalists, political workers, youth, and thousands of other Kashmiris have been languishing in prisons for their political beliefs, and sought the intervention of the international community to impress upon India for their immediate release.
