Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Islamabad as part of a major regional diplomatic visit focused on ongoing tensions in the Middle East and efforts to promote dialogue.
According to Beyond Time News, he is expected to meet Pakistan’s top leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei is also accompanying the delegation.
Part of Wider Regional Tour
Araghchi’s visit to Islamabad is part of a broader regional tour that also includes stops in Muscat and Moscow.
Iranian state media confirmed that the purpose of the trip is to hold consultations with regional partners and review the latest developments linked to tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.
According to Beyond Time News, Iran’s IRNA news agency said the discussions will focus on regional security and diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Abbas Araghchi. Both sides discussed regional stability, ceasefire prospects, and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The conversation also included indirect communication channels between Washington and Tehran, with Pakistan’s mediating role highlighted.
