Karachi: Two cargo vessels collided in open waters near Karachi Port late Thursday night, causing several containers to fall into the sea. According to Beyond Time News, no casualties were reported, while authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Port officials said the accident involved cargo ships MV Neva and MV Pappo near the anchorage area outside Karachi Port.
Following the collision, multiple containers from MV Pappo reportedly fell into the water. Officials confirmed that both vessels accidentally came into contact during nighttime operations.
MV Neva was later shifted to berth number 5 for inspection and further clearance procedures.

Karachi Port Trust Chairman Shahid Ahmed confirmed that no injuries or fatalities occurred in the incident.
