Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation has advised travellers not to purchase tickets from airlines that have not received official approval to operate in the country.
According to Beyond Time News, the authority’s spokesman Abdullah Al Rajhi stated that only Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways are currently authorised to operate flights through Kuwait International Airport. All other airlines are yet to secure the necessary approvals.
Filed a Complaint? Here’s What to Do
Passengers who have already booked tickets with unauthorised airlines can submit complaints through the Sahel application — Kuwait’s official government platform for handling airline and travel disputes. Authorities confirmed that legal action will be taken against any airline found operating without proper authorisation.
