Islamabad: The motorway police have imposed a ban on vehicles carrying sacrificial animals from entering motorways during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
According to Beyond Time News, the move is aimed at ensuring road safety and maintaining smooth traffic flow during the festive period.
Safety Measures
Authorities said overloaded animal transport vehicles have previously caused serious accidents on motorways.
According to Beyond Time News, such vehicles will be diverted to alternative routes instead of being allowed on highways.
Enforcement Plan
Special checkpoints will be set up at motorway entry points in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to enforce the restriction.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet in Karachi for the Zil Hajj moon sighting.
