Muscat: The government of Oman has officially announced a five-day public holiday for Eid Al Adha 2026 for employees working in government departments, public institutions, and private sector companies.

According to Beyond Time News, the Eid Al Adha holidays will begin on Tuesday, May 26, and continue until Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Authorities confirmed that official working hours and regular business activities across all sectors will resume on Sunday, May 31.

The announcement applies to employees working in the State Administrative Apparatus, public legal entities, and private establishments throughout Oman.

Meanwhile, Kuwait has also announced official holidays for Eid Al Adha and Arafat Day.

According to Beyond Time News, the Kuwait Civil Service Commission confirmed that government ministries, public institutions, and state offices will remain closed from Tuesday, May 26, until Sunday, May 31.

In Kuwait, the official Eid holiday period will continue from May 26 to May 29. Afterward, the regular weekend holidays on Saturday and Sunday will extend the overall break until May 31.

Government offices in Kuwait are expected to reopen on Monday, June 1, 2026.
