ISLAMABAD: The Government of Pakistan has announced the issuance of a special Rs75 commemorative coin to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

According to Beyond Time News, the coin will be released for public circulation from May 25, 2026, and will be available at exchange counters of the State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation across the country.

Diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China were officially established on May 21, 1951. The new coin marks this long-standing partnership, which both countries describe as a relationship based on trust, cooperation, and mutual support.

Coin Design and Specifications

The commemorative coin will be round in shape with milled edges. It will be made from a copper-nickel alloy containing 75% copper and 25% nickel.

According to official details, the coin will weigh 19 grams and have a diameter of 36 millimetres.

Obverse Side Design

On the front side, the coin features a waxing crescent moon and a five-pointed star facing northwest. The Urdu inscription “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” appears along the upper edge.

The year “2026” is displayed below the crescent and above two wheat sprigs. The denomination “75” is shown prominently, along with the word “Rupia” in Urdu script on either side of the design.

Reverse Side Design

The reverse side highlights the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

It includes the national flags of both countries at the center, with the numeral “75” displayed below them. The years “1951” and “2026” appear on either side of the central design.

The upper inscription reads “75th Anniversary of Pakistan and China Diplomatic Relations,” while the lower edge carries the words “Trust, Friendship, Support.”

Urdu and Chinese script also appear on the coin, representing friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
