Pakpattan Horror: Tenant Cop Allegedly Kills Landlady to Seize Property

A disturbing murder case in Pakpattan has left residents shocked after a female schoolteacher was allegedly abducted and killed by her tenant, a police constable.

According to Beyond Time News, the victim, Rehana Akhtar, was taken away with the help of accomplices and later murdered. Police said the suspect attempted to hide the crime by burning the body.

Burnt Body Recovered from Fields

The victim’s body was found badly burned in agricultural land around 25 kilometers from Pakpattan, within the limits of Rang Shah police station.

Her identity was confirmed by her daughter through personal belongings recovered from the scene. Investigators believe petrol was used to set the body on fire in an effort to destroy evidence.

Property Dispute Under Investigation

Police say the main suspect, Constable Zahid, was a tenant in the victim’s house. Initial investigations suggest the killing may be linked to a property dispute and an alleged attempt to illegally occupy the house.

Two Arrested, Main Accused at Large

A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Umar Daraz Khan. Police have arrested two suspects, including a woman linked to the case, while the main accused remains absconding.

District Police Officer Javed Chaddhar has taken notice of the incident and ordered teams to arrest the remaining suspect without delay.

Constable on Leave During Incident

Officials confirmed that the accused constable was on departmental leave for several days when the incident took place.

Police teams are conducting raids in different areas to track him down.
