Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an immediate investigation after a deadly attack on the residence of Punjab lawmaker Ayub Gadhi in Toba Tek Singh left four people dead and several others injured.
According to Beyond Time News, unidentified attackers opened fire at Gadhi’s dera while he was meeting local residents and listening to public concerns.
Four Killed, MPA Injured in Attack
Police officials said the attackers targeted the residence on Sunday. The shooting killed four people who were present at the site.
District Police Officer officials confirmed that Ayub Gadhi also suffered injuries in the attack. Authorities shifted him to the District Headquarters Hospital for treatment.
Law enforcement agencies later launched raids to arrest the suspects involved.
PM Shehbaz Calls Incident “Extremely Concerning”
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the incident and directed authorities to complete the inquiry quickly.
He described Ayub Gadhi as a dedicated worker of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and said the attack was deeply alarming.
The prime minister also expressed condolences to the families of those killed and prayed for the recovery of the injured.
Punjab CM Orders Immediate Arrests
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also condemned the attack and sought a detailed report from authorities.
She directed law enforcement agencies to immediately arrest those responsible and ensure proper medical treatment for the injured.
According to Beyond Time News, the chief minister also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims.

Investigation Underway
Police continue to investigate the motive behind the attack. Security officials are conducting raids and gathering evidence to identify the attackers.
