Karachi: Shipping operations at Port Qasim remained active over the past 24 hours as several vessels arrived to handle a mix of imported cargo, including palm oil, chemicals, coal, cement, and containers. According to Beyond Time News, port operations continued smoothly across multiple terminals.
Three ships — Searay, TG Libra, and Tomini Dynasty — docked at different terminals to unload cargo. Authorities berthed them at the Liquid Cargo Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal, respectively.
In addition, five more vessels — GFS Jade, Zhong Gu Kun Ming, Star Fighter, Zografia, and Ocean Hope — reached the outer anchorage. These ships are scheduled to handle loading and unloading operations involving coal, cement, and container cargo in the coming hours.
During the last 24 hours, port officials managed operations for a total of eight ships at different berths. Among them, Al-Kharaitiyat, Xin Hai Tong-50, and African Arrow are expected to sail after completing their scheduled work.

Port data shows that a total cargo volume of 101,085 tonnes was handled during the reporting period. All of it consisted of imported goods, while no export cargo was processed during this time.
Meanwhile, 23 vessels remain anchored at outer locations of the port. Out of these, several ships — including Star Fighter, Sea Champion, SSI Interceptor, Zhong Gu Kun Ming, GFS Jade, and MSC Shrinika-V — are expected to berth soon for further cargo operations at MW-2, MW-4, PQEPT, and QICT terminals.
Port authorities continue to monitor shipping flow to ensure smooth handling of cargo and timely vessel movement.
