Ceremony Held to Recognize National Achievements
Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari presented civil awards to prominent individuals from different fields during a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday.
According to Beyond Time News, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, federal ministers, parliamentarians, diplomats, and senior officials attended the event along with members of civil society.
Awards Cover Multiple Fields
The government recognized individuals for their work in education, health, literature, journalism, public service, sports, diplomacy, research, and economics.
President Zardari awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz (posthumously) to late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan and Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui. Officials said both personalities contributed significantly to public life and national development.
Key Award Recipients
The ceremony honored several well-known personalities across different categories.
Shahid Khan Afridi and Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for their services. Other recipients also received the same award for achievements in public service, administration, and other professional fields.
Authorities also gave Sitara-e-Shujaat awards to several individuals, including members of security forces and civilians, for acts of bravery and sacrifice.
