Punjab Launches Virtual Women Police Station

According to Beyond Time News, the government of Punjab has introduced Pakistan’s first virtual women police station in Lahore. The initiative aims to make it easier and safer for women to report harassment and seek help.

This step comes as part of broader efforts to improve women’s safety in both public and private spaces.

Ways to Register a Complaint

Women can report incidents through several simple and accessible methods:

1. Emergency Helpline
Dial 15 to report an incident immediately. This is the quickest way to contact authorities.

2. Mobile App (Live Chat)
Use the Punjab Safe Cities Authority App to file complaints through its live chat feature.

3. Online Web Portal
Complaints can also be submitted through the official Safe Cities web portal, allowing users to report issues from home.

4. Video Call Facility
Victims can speak directly with officials via live video calls. This option helps provide clear details and ensures better communication.

Making Reporting Safer and Easier

The virtual police station removes many barriers that women face when reporting incidents. It allows them to seek help without physically visiting a police station.

Officials say this system will improve response times and encourage more women to come forward and report concerns.
