Russia Warns US–Israel Iran Conflict Is Hurting Caspian Region Stability

Tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran are raising concerns across the region, with Russia warning of wider geopolitical and economic risks.

According to Beyond Time News, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the ongoing conflict is negatively affecting the Caspian Sea region. He stressed that the area must remain a zone of peace and cooperation.

Speaking in Astana after talks with Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, Lavrov said stability along the Caspian coastline must be protected and trade routes should not be disrupted by regional tensions. He also called a recent strike on Iran’s Bandar Anzali port unacceptable, saying it serves the shared economic interests of Caspian states. Lavrov urged a diplomatic solution to the broader Middle East crisis.

Iran Blames US and Israel Over Strait of Hormuz Tensions

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, as reported by Al Jazeera, blamed the United States and Israel for insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route.

He said any instability in the waterway is the responsibility of Washington and Israel, adding that the strait remains vital for global energy supplies and Iranian sovereignty.

Nuclear Talks and Rising Diplomatic Pressure

Former Iranian foreign minister and lawmaker Manouchehr Mottaki said Iran would have approached negotiations differently if it had known the US demand for zero uranium enrichment earlier. He added that talks lose value when core positions remain unchanged.

US Plan for Maritime Coalition

The United States is reportedly working to form a “Maritime Freedom Construct” coalition to restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran Warns Against Blockade Pressure

Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei warned that any blockade on Iranian ports would fail, saying Tehran has ways to bypass restrictions and could respond if pressure escalates.
