Karachi: The Meteorological Department has forecast an intense heatwave across Sindh, with temperatures expected to reach up to 45°C in several cities on Thursday.
According to Beyond Time News, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Larkana, and Hyderabad are likely to experience extreme heat, while Khairpur may record temperatures around 44°C.
Karachi is also facing hot and humid conditions, with the maximum temperature expected to reach about 36°C.
The Met Office said most parts of Sindh are under a hot and dry weather spell, with some areas experiencing severe heat conditions.
Extreme Heatwave Continues Across Sindh, Balochistan
Health experts have advised citizens to avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours and to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Reports also noted that extreme heat claimed 14 lives in Karachi during the early days of May.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain in parts of southern Punjab, northern Balochistan, and Kashmir, along with strong winds and thunderstorms, which may bring partial relief in some regions.
