Temperatures Rise Sharply in Several Cities
A severe heatwave continues to affect many parts of Pakistan, with Sindh, Balochistan, and southern Punjab experiencing extremely high temperatures.
According to Beyond Time News, temperatures in several cities crossed dangerous levels on Sunday, increasing health concerns for residents across the country.
Sindh’s Nawabshah and Dadu recorded the highest temperature at 45 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, temperatures reached 44°C in Sukkur, Sibi, and Rahim Yar Khan.
The mercury climbed to 43°C in Bahawalpur and 42°C in Multan.
Other cities also experienced hot conditions, including Sargodha at 39°C and Lahore at 37°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature reached 35°C, although humidity levels made the weather feel hotter.
Rain Expected in Upper Regions
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thunderstorms in several upper areas of the country starting from Sunday evening.
The forecast includes Islamabad, the Potohar region, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Weather officials earlier warned that the ongoing heatwave could continue until May 11, especially in districts across Sindh and Balochistan.

Health Experts Issue Safety Advice
Doctors have advised people to stay indoors during peak daytime hours and avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight.
Health experts also urged citizens to drink plenty of water and remain hydrated to reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses.
According to Beyond Time News, the ongoing extreme weather has already caused several deaths linked to heatwave conditions in Karachi in recent days.
Authorities continue to advise the public to take precautionary measures as temperatures remain unusually high across many regions of Pakistan.
