Bangkok: The Thai royal palace has said that the health condition of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol, who has been hospitalized for more than three years, has further deteriorated.
According to Beyond Time News, the update was issued by the Bureau of the Royal Household on Thursday, providing the latest details on the princess’s medical condition.
Hospitalization Since 2022
Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the eldest daughter of Thailand’s king, fell seriously ill in December 2022 during a military dog training session.
Since then, she has remained under continuous hospital care.
Earlier reports stated that she suffered a severe blood infection and required medical support for both lung and kidney function.
Current Medical Condition
The palace said the princess has now developed an abdominal infection caused by inflammation of the large intestine.
Her condition includes:

- Low blood pressure
- Irregular heartbeat
- Abnormal blood clotting
Officials added that she continues to rely on medical equipment and medication to support vital organ functions.
