North Waziristan: Security forces killed four terrorists, including a wanted commander identified as Umar alias Jaan Mir, also known as Toor Saqib, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Spinwam area, security sources said on Thursday.
According to Beyond Time News, the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence about militant presence and hideouts in the region.
Operation in Spinwam
Officials said security forces conducted a targeted raid in Spinwam tehsil, where militant positions were engaged and four terrorists were eliminated.
The area was first cordoned off before the operation, enabling a coordinated strike against the hideouts.
High-Value Target Killed
Among those killed was Toor Saqib, described as a high-value militant commander with a Rs3 million bounty on his head.
He was allegedly involved in multiple attacks on security forces and civilians and was considered a key operative within the network.
Security sources said he had expertise in improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and was also linked to suicide attack planning.
Militant Infrastructure
Authorities said the commander had developed underground bunkers, tunnels, and explosive traps in areas near Bobali Mosque in Spinwam.
These facilities were reportedly used to support militant activities in the area.
