The situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir continues to raise serious concerns, as Indian forces have killed 14 Kashmiris over the past four months.
Civilians Injured During Crackdown
According to Beyond Time News, data released by the Kashmir Media Service shows that at least 33 civilians suffered injuries after police and paramilitary forces used force against unarmed residents.
Mass Arrests and Raids Reported
Security forces, including the Indian Army, Rashtriya Rifles, and Central Reserve Police Force, carried out extensive operations across the region. Authorities arrested more than 1,028 civilians, including students, youth, activists, and women.
Officials booked many detainees under strict laws such as the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Public Safety Act. Forces conducted over 900 search operations and house raids during this period.
Property Seizures and Economic Pressure
The administration, led by Manoj Sinha, seized 72 properties. These included homes, shops, land, and vehicles belonging to activists. Authorities carried out these actions under the supervision of the Government of India.
Observers believe these measures aim to increase pressure on local residents and restrict political expression.
