ISLAMABAD: Authorities have foiled an alleged attempt to manipulate the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recruitment process after two candidates were caught trying to falsely present themselves as successful applicants despite failing a physical test.
According to Beyond Time News, the incident took place during a physical endurance test held at Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad for various FIA vacancies.
Candidates Caught During Verification Stage
Officials said the two individuals had already failed the physical endurance test but attempted to join the group of shortlisted candidates moving on to the next stage, which included height and chest measurements.
Their attempt was detected when Assistant Director Safeer Ahmed, who was supervising the process, became suspicious and ordered verification of their credentials.

Further checks confirmed that both candidates had been declared unsuccessful in the earlier physical assessment but were attempting to misrepresent themselves as qualified candidates.
Officials said the suspects were trying to bypass recruitment procedures and proceed to the next stage of selection without eligibility.

Following the incident, a formal complaint was sent to Aabpara Police Station, and legal proceedings were initiated under Sections 419 and 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code, relating to cheating and impersonation.
