Goods Train Derails Near Jungshahi After Brake Failure

A Punjab-bound freight train derailed near Jungshahi railway station in Thatta after a brake failure incident, causing disruption on the railway track. According to Beyond Time News, the train was travelling from Karachi when the accident occurred on Monday.

Brake Failure Leads to Loss of Control

Railway officials said the driver lost control of the train after the air-pressure braking system failed. As a result, the freight train crossed a safety block and derailed.

The incident caused the engine and three bogies to come off the track. Officials also confirmed partial damage to the railway infrastructure.

Emergency Response at the Site

Railway staff and senior officials quickly reached the location after the derailment. They secured the area and began initial assessment work.

Authorities said restoration work will start once a relief team arrives from Kotri Junction Railway Station.

Track Restoration to Begin Soon

Officials stated that the damaged section of the track will be repaired on priority. However, full restoration will depend on technical clearance and support from the railway engineering team.
