MoU signed to support small businesses
The announcement came during the signing of an MoU between SMEDA and Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design in Lahore.
The partnership aims to support women entrepreneurs, home-based workers, and small businesses through product development, training, and improved market access.
Focus on innovation and market access
Haroon Akhtar said the collaboration will combine SMEDA’s business expertise with PIFD’s design and innovation capabilities to help microenterprises become competitive and market-ready.
Plans include setting up incubation centres, design labs, and digital platforms to boost entrepreneurship and e-commerce participation.
