Karachi: Hot and humid weather is expected to continue in Karachi on Monday, with temperatures likely to remain high throughout the day and humidity adding to the discomfort for residents.
According to Beyond Time News, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast warm and muggy conditions across the city. The minimum temperature recorded in Karachi early Monday morning was 29.8°C, while humidity levels stood at 75 percent.
Weather officials said southwesterly winds were blowing at around 16 kilometers per hour. Despite the breeze, the high moisture content in the air is expected to keep conditions uncomfortable, especially during the afternoon.
The maximum temperature is forecast to range between 35°C and 37°C, making it another typically hot summer day in Pakistan’s largest city.
Most Parts of Pakistan to Remain Hot and Dry
The PMD has predicted mainly hot and dry weather across much of the country. Southern districts of Balochistan are expected to experience particularly intense heat, with temperatures likely to remain significantly above seasonal averages.
However, a slight change in weather is expected in some northern and northeastern regions. Partly cloudy skies, along with isolated rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms, may develop during the afternoon in northeastern Punjab, the Pothohar region, northeastern Balochistan, Kashmir, and nearby hilly areas.
While the rainfall is expected to be limited, it could bring temporary relief from the prevailing heat in affected areas.

Morning temperatures recorded across major cities were:

- Karachi: 30°C
- Peshawar: 28°C
- Muzaffarabad: 21°C

- Gilgit: 15°C

Weather Forecast for Jammu and Kashmir
According to Beyond Time News, partly cloudy and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Baramula, and Leh. Jammu is likely to remain hot and dry throughout the day.

The significant temperature difference between Jammu and the higher-altitude areas reflects the diverse geography and climate of the region.
Residents Advised to Take Precautions
With temperatures remaining high in Karachi and many other parts of Pakistan, residents are encouraged to take necessary precautions to stay safe during the ongoing heat.
Health experts recommend drinking plenty of water, avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, wearing light and breathable clothing, and limiting outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
Children, senior citizens, and individuals with health conditions should take extra care, as they are more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.
