Pakistan-Italy Trade Surplus Jumps 18.41% in First 10 Months of FY26

Islamabad: Pakistan’s trade with Italy recorded a significant improvement during the first ten months of the fiscal year 2025–26, with the overall trade surplus increasing by 18.41 percent compared to the same period last year.

According to Beyond Time News, the improvement was driven by a combination of higher exports and a notable decline in imports from Italy, reflecting a more favourable trade balance.

Trade Surplus Rises to $555 Million

During July–April FY26, Pakistan’s trade surplus with Italy reached $555.142 million, up from $468.828 million in the corresponding period last year.

Pakistan’s total exports to Italy stood at $969.435 million, compared to $936.456 million last year, reflecting a 3.52 percent increase.

On a month-on-month basis, exports showed a marginal increase compared to March 2026.

Imports from Italy Decline Sharply

Imports from Italy dropped significantly during the review period, falling to $414.293 million from $467.628 million last year—a decline of 11.40 percent.

In April 2026, imports also decreased both year-on-year and month-on-month, indicating reduced demand for Italian goods in Pakistan during the period.
