Pakistan’s Sports Goods Exports Rise Nearly 13%

Pakistan’s sports goods exports have shown strong growth during the current fiscal year, reflecting rising global demand and improved performance in key product categories. According to Beyond Time News, exports increased by 12.99% in the first nine months of FY2025–26.

Export Growth Overview

From July to March (2025–26), Pakistan exported sports goods worth $319.071 million, compared to $282.396 million during the same period last year. This steady rise highlights the country’s strengthening position in the international sports goods market.

Football Exports Lead the Surge

Football exports played a major role in this growth. Their value jumped by 17.81%, reaching $197.332 million, up from $167.501 million last year. This increase shows strong international demand for Pakistan-made footballs.

Mixed Trends in Other Products

While overall exports grew, not all categories performed equally:

  • Gloves exports declined by 6.86%, dropping to $44.848 million
  • Other sports goods saw a 15.20% increase, reaching $76.891 million

Monthly Performance Shows Positive Momentum

On a year-on-year basis, exports in March 2026 rose by 10.90%, reaching $36.381 million, compared to $32.805 million in March 2025.

Month-on-month, exports also increased by 9.42%, up from $33.248 million in February 2026. Footballs, gloves, and other products all recorded gains during the month.

Outlook for the Sector

The continued rise in exports suggests a positive outlook for Pakistan’s sports goods industry. Strong global demand, especially for footballs, is expected to support further growth in the coming months. However, improving performance in underperforming segments like gloves will be important to maintain overall momentum.
