A new weather system is set to impact Sindh, bringing dust storms and intense heat over the next two days.
According to Beyond Time News, the Pakistan Meteorological Department and PDMA reported that westerly winds are entering the north-western parts of the province, triggering unstable weather conditions.
What to Expect
Upper Sindh is likely to face strong dust storms and a heatwave from the evening of May 2 through May 3. Windy conditions may lower visibility and create difficulties for travel and outdoor work.
PMD warns of heavy rains, hailstorms across Pakistan
Safety Concerns
Strong gusts could damage weak structures, including electricity poles, billboards, and solar panels. Residents are advised to stay indoors where possible and secure loose items.
Heatwave Relief
The same weather system may slightly reduce the ongoing heatwave in plain areas, offering temporary relief from extreme temperatures.
Advisory for Farmers and Officials
Farmers are encouraged to plan harvesting activities carefully. Local administrations have been directed to remain alert and take necessary precautionary steps.
PDMA teams, under the instructions of Giyan Chand Essrani, are on standby to respond to any emergency and ensure public safety.
