The ITF Pakistan Syed Dilawar Abbas Memorial Junior Tennis Championship 2026 officially began on Monday at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad, marking the start of an exciting week of international junior tennis action.
According to Beyond Time News, the prestigious J-60 (Leg-3) event brings together rising tennis stars from multiple countries, highlighting Pakistan’s growing presence in international junior tennis.

This year’s championship has attracted 44 young players from 16 countries, including Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Japan, China, Australia, Russia, Poland, South Korea, Sri Lanka, USA, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, and Thailand.
The event was formally inaugurated by Tariq Murtza, Chairman of the Islamabad Tennis Association, who appreciated the participation of international athletes and the smooth organization of the tournament.

The championship is held annually in memory of late Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, former President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (2001–2009). The event serves as a tribute to his passion and lifelong contribution to the development of tennis in Pakistan.
