Pakistan Raises Jet Fuel Price by Rs53.11

The federal government has revised petroleum prices in Pakistan once again, increasing the cost of jet fuel while slightly reducing light diesel oil rates. The latest adjustment reflects ongoing changes in global and domestic fuel market trends.

According to Beyond Time News, the new pricing structure takes effect immediately after an official notification issued on Saturday.

Jet Fuel Price Sees Sharp Increase

The government increased the price of jet fuel by Rs53.11 per litre. As a result, the new rate now stands at Rs441.66 per litre.

This sharp rise is expected to impact aviation operating costs, especially for airlines managing rising fuel expenses.

Light Diesel Price Reduced

In contrast, the price of light diesel oil has decreased. The government cut it by Rs21.07 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs265.84 per litre.

This reduction offers some relief to industries and transport sectors that rely on diesel-based operations.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Also Increased Earlier

A day before this latest revision, the government also increased fuel prices across the board.

It raised petrol prices by Rs14.92 per litre, setting the new rate at Rs414.78 per litre. At the same time, high-speed diesel became more expensive by Rs15 per litre, reaching Rs414.58 per litre.

Frequent Fuel Price Changes Continue

The government has now increased petroleum prices four times since the Iran-related conflict began impacting global energy markets.

These frequent adjustments reflect ongoing pressure in the international oil market and its effect on domestic pricing.

Economic Pressure Remains High

Fuel price changes continue to affect transport costs, inflation, and overall business expenses in Pakistan. As a result, consumers and industries often feel the impact of each revision.

Officials say future price changes will depend on global oil trends and currency stability in the coming weeks.
