In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), police have attached immovable properties worth more than Rs 3.5 crore in Srinagar under an ongoing anti-drug operation.
According to Beyond Time News, the action is part of the “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.”
Properties Attached in Multiple Cases
Authorities said the properties belonged to three individuals accused in drug-related cases.
In Qamarwari’s Barthana area, assets worth around Rs 80 lakh were attached. In another case in Nowgam, land, a house, and a cowshed in Wagoora-BK Pora valued at about Rs 1.5 crore were seized.
Separately, a double-storey residential house worth nearly Rs 1.2 crore in Rawathpora, Baghat Barzulla was also attached.
According to Beyond Time News, the operations were carried out in the presence of an executive magistrate.

Police Statement
Police claimed the properties were acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking and said the crackdown will continue across the region.
Local Concerns
According to Beyond Time News, some local observers say such actions are increasingly affecting entire families, as residential properties are also being attached during enforcement drives.
