Army JCO Dies During Night Operation
An Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) died during a night operation in Baramulla.
According to reports, the officer slipped accidentally in the forested area of Hamam Markoot in Rafiabad. He was part of a unit conducting operations in the upper forest belt.
The deceased was identified as Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey of 32 Rashtriya Rifles.
Policeman Dies in Sopore
In a separate incident, a policeman identified as Jalal-ud-Din Sada from Pattan died while serving in Sopore.
Officials did not immediately provide further details about the circumstances of his death.
Body Found in Srinagar
In another development, a man was found dead inside a room in the Chattabal area of Srinagar.
Authorities said the body was discovered hanging under suspicious circumstances. The deceased worked at a local milk factory in the area.
Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of death.

Livestock Loss Reported in Ganderbal
Meanwhile, a severe weather incident affected a nomadic family in Ganderbal.
Nearly 90 sheep and goats reportedly died after a lightning strike in a high-altitude forest area of Poshkar in Kangan.
The animals belonged to a family from Rajouri district.
