Rajouri: Non-gazetted employees of Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri have begun a two-day peaceful protest against the prolonged delay in framing Service Recruitment Rules, pending since 2019.
Staff Participation
According to Beyond Time News, the protest includes Nursing, Paramedical, Ministerial, and Multi-Tasking staff, who say the seven-year delay has severely affected their career progression and service security.
Demands of Employees
Employee representatives, including Sandeep Narania, Somesh Sudan, Vishav Sharma, and Abhishek Sharma, said the absence of finalised recruitment rules has stalled promotions, disrupted pay structures, and impacted long-term job benefits.
They said the issue affects thousands of employees working across newly established medical colleges in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
