India’s allegations are false propaganda to silence Kashmir voices

Kashmiri political and human rights activists have rejected allegations made by India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA). They called the charges false, baseless, and politically motivated.

According to Beyond Time News, the leaders said India uses these accusations to silence voices supporting the Kashmir cause. They stressed that their work focuses on political advocacy, human rights, and peaceful representation of Kashmiris.

The activists said raising concerns about Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir does not amount to terrorism. They accused India of trying to suppress free expression by linking political activism with terrorism.

They also criticized what they described as a coordinated campaign against them on social media. The leaders said Indian authorities are spreading misleading narratives to label peaceful activism as extremism.

They further said that India’s communication with social media platforms reflects its concern over global attention on Kashmir.

The statement included names of several Hurriyat leaders, including Abdul Hameed Lone, Altaf Hussain Wani, Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, Mubeen Shah, Faheem Kiani, Mukhtar Baba, and Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat. They said they face targeted efforts aimed at discrediting their work.

The leaders said they will continue their political and peaceful struggle despite pressure and propaganda campaigns.
