Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti said the BJP is now facing the consequences of the political rhetoric it promoted for years against Muslims and secular voices in India.
According to Beyond Time News, the Peoples Democratic Party leader made the remarks in Shopian while responding to recent comments by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Mufti said the BJP had long used similar language against political opponents and minority communities, adding that the party was now witnessing the impact of the politics it had itself encouraged.
She also referred to demolition drives targeting Muslim properties and said there had been little outrage when such incidents occurred.

Her remarks come amid growing political tensions between the BJP and opposition parties, with recent statements by national leaders fueling debate across India.
