Omar Abdullah Accuses BJP of Using Statehood Issue

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has accused the BJP of using the statehood issue to pressure the elected government in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Beyond Time News, Omar Abdullah said the delay in cabinet expansion is directly linked to the region not receiving statehood status.

Omar Abdullah Criticizes BJP

Speaking in Srinagar, Abdullah claimed the BJP was creating hurdles for the elected government.

He said the cabinet expansion could not move forward because Jammu and Kashmir still lacks statehood.

Abdullah also alleged that the BJP would continue blocking government affairs until it formed its own administration in the territory.

He accused the party of using “blackmail politics” and pressuring the people through the statehood issue.
